What children in foster care wish for!

As the holiday season comes to a wrap, there are still many vulnerable children who were wishing for more than the gifts under the tree, and instead for love, stability and a loving family that will embrace their challenges, recognize their pain, understand their trauma and break the cycle of rejection by opening up their homes and hearts.

Children do not ask to come into the foster care system; they are brought in as victims. Most children enter foster care with only the clothes on their backs, they do not have a toothbrush and carry the few belongings they have in a trash bag.  Can you imagine how frightening and confusing this would be?

You can make a difference for our most precious gifts, our children, by joining forces with Eckerd Kids to bring stability for our youth in foster care.

Help us give them the greatest gift of all – a loving home, security and happiness this season.

See how you can get involved!

The St Petersburg Woman’s Club understands that you need suitcases for the kids. We would like to donate some, but need to know what size, type (wheels, duffle ?).
Please contact me at 727-865-0341 or email
