Eckerd Youth Alternatives Accepted As Full Member Of National Association Of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP)

Clearwater, Fla. – When parents of a struggling boy or girl are seeking help for their child, they often find a confusing array of treatment options. Since 1999, thousands of parents and professionals have relied on the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP) for objective information about high-quality therapeutic programs.

Two Eckerd Youth Alternatives outdoor therapeutic treatment programs that focus on serving troubled teens referred by their parents and professionals – E-Sun-Alee in Deer Lodge, Tenn. and E-How-Kee in Brooksville, Fla. – have recently become full members of NATSAP.

“We are pleased to work with NATSAP on providing parents of troubled boys and girls with better treatment options,” said Martha Chamberlain, Director of Marketing and Client Relations. “Quality programs to help at-risk youth and families are the very core of our mission.”

NATSAP is a national trade organization for high-quality programs and schools that assist young people with emotional and behavioral difficulties. NATSAP members are committed to providing the highest quality services to the young people and families they serve.

As a condition of membership, all NATSAP members must adhere to the organization’s stringent ethics and standards of care, including its Ethical Principles, Principles of Good Practice, Supplemental Principles of Good Practice for Therapeutic Schools and Standards for Behavior Support Management.

NATSAP members include therapeutic schools, residential treatment programs, wilderness programs, outdoor therapeutic programs, and home-based residential programs. All are working through NATSAP to ensure only the highest quality of services are provided to troubled youth and their families.
