Temporary emergency relief for parents and guardians in North Carolina
Angels Watch provides emergency temporary relief for families experiencing a crisis situation that makes it difficult to care for their children. Such situations may include unexpected job loss, temporary homelessness, a medical emergency, domestic violence, temporary loss of daycare, or chronic long-term illness. Children in the Angels Watch program are placed safely in the care of a family that is here to help, while parents or guardians resolve the situation and get back on their feet.
The FREE statewide program is a service of Eckerd Kids affiliate Caring for Children. It helps children ages 0-6, and can accommodate siblings up to age 10. Children may stay in a licensed Angels Watch home for as little as one day or as long as 90 days.
