Alex Reed rejoined Eckerd Kids as our Chief of Performance and Quality in December 2015. Alex previously served for 10 years with Eckerd Kids, the last five as the Chief Strategy Officer. Alex took a sabbatical to attend graduate school as a Sloan Fellow and Philip Langsdale Scholarship recipient at the London Business School where, along with some of the best minds from around the world, he was immersed in cutting edge thinking associated with every aspect of business operations and successfully completed the Sloan Masters in Leadership and Strategy, with Distinction.
As Eckerd Kid’s Chief Strategy Officer, Alex led the development of the organization’s Strategic Plan, headed the development of Annual Operating Plans and ensured the organization executed on its objectives. Now armed with an even more expansive knowledge base, Alex brings an enhanced capacity to his new role as Eckerd Kids continues its pursuit of excellence in performance and innovation.
Prior to joining Eckerd Kids, Alex was a co-founder of Sevis Systems, a mobile network solutions provider backed by $12M in venture capital. Alex also served five years with a Top-Secret Clearance as an Officer in the United States Air Force where he was responsible for leading the development of multiple next-generation network security technologies. In addition to his Masters degree from the London Business School, Alex holds a Bachelors of Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, attending on a 4-year Air Force ROTC scholarship and graduating with Highest Honors.
