Martin joined Eckerd Connects in 2008 and currently serves as the Chief of Staff and General Counsel. He leads all human resources efforts for the organization working diligently to ensure that Eckerd Connects has the talent needed to fulfill its mission. In his capacity as General Counsel, Martin’s portfolio includes a wide variety of legal projects such as contract review and formation, leading enterprise risk management functions, and advising the Eckerd Connects leadership team on various legal and regulatory issues.
During his tenure with Eckerd Connects, Martin has served in a variety of roles including operations, facilities management, procurement, contract management, external relations, information technology, and government relations. This multi-disciplinary background has provided him with a strong understanding of the many programs and services provided by Eckerd Connects.
A lifelong learner, Martin has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Juris Doctor degree. While in law school, Martin was selected for a coveted internship with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida. Martin also holds two graduate degrees – a master’s degree in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University where he was a Bloomberg Public Health Fellow and an LL.M. degree in Business Law with a concentration in Employment Law and Human Resources Risk Management from Florida State University College of Law.
Outside of his professional responsibilities at Eckerd Connects, Martin also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Liberty University in both the School of Law and the Helms School of Government.
