With more than 15 years of expertise in business development, strategic planning, and contract management, Richard Semancik, Chief of Program Services, oversees the delivery of all direct service programs as well as new business development, working directly with the Eckerd Kids team to identify opportunities to increase our impact.
Rich joined Eckerd Kids after serving as the COO of Paxen since 2010. He successfully assisted with integrating the Paxen services into Eckerd Kids as of January of 2015 in which Paxen became a program of Eckerd Kids. Paxen primarily provides workforce development services in Georgia and South Carolina as well as juvenile justice services in Florida and Washington, DC.
Before joining Paxen, Richard served as Senior Vice President for G4S Youth Services, which acquired Sunshine Youth Services, a Tampa-based company he co-founded in 2000. Under his guidance, Sunshine Youth Services grew in nine years to become the second-largest provider of juvenile justice residential services in Florida, with six locations and 350 employees.
In addition to his professional experience, Richard holds a master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida.
