Early Head Start

Eckerd Kids and Early Head Start of Tampa, FL  are partnering to provide community-based, high quality care to our most vulnerable population; infants and toddlers. Research has shown the positive impact and lifelong effects of early intervention. Early Head Start/Head Start’s track record of success echoes Eckerd Kids’ Vision: Ensure that each child has the opportunity to succeed.

Early Head Start provides high quality education, comprehensive care and support services to infants, toddlers, and their families.  Parents can choose between Center-Based care, where children learn and play in a structured educational setting, or Family Child Care with a licensed family child care home. The program provides free year-round services for children ages 0-3 and their families to promote education, self-sufficiency, community building, health, and well-being.
