An Effective Alternative to Youth Detention
Eckerd Family Supervision Program is a cost effective and outcome-driven alternative to secure detention for non-violent youth ages 10 through 17. The program enables youth to remain in their homes and addresses their complex mental, emotional and behavioral needs while awaiting disposition. Our evidence-based approach combines intensive case management and monitoring, youth life skills training, parent training and individualized home contact.
Enrollment Requirements
Referrals are made by judges and/or Probation Officers. Youth will be primarily referred through the courts as part of the youth’s court order prior to adjudication as an alternative to residing in the detention center. Upon request referrals can be made to have these services as part of the youth’s Probation Requirements.
